1979 Pontiac Trans Am
|Engine Size:||301 CID|
|Ext. Color:||Black w/Gold Bird|
Obviously, Pontiac was doing something right as the company had an all-time high production run of Firebirds. Of 211.453 models, 117,108 were the Trans Ams. These second-generation Firebirds got their last model design tweaking and featured a redesigned nose and tail sections that were done using a softer plastic material. This included the front and rear spoilers as wells as the wheel openings.
This 79 Trans Am is a project and not that complicated to work on. Current owner drove and parked the car in his garage 3-4 years ago. It is a no rust solid car with the original interior.
Exterior is black and the paint is very good. Around of the car could use a paint touch up. The car is originally black. The gold bird on the hood is still in great condition.
Interior is the original black bucket seat console interior. All components are in very good condition. A good cleaning and detail is necessary but once done, it will look great!
Engine is the 301 CID 4 BBL V8 and is paired with an automatic transmission. When the owner parked the car, the transmission fluid ran out. Owner has not had time to work on the car and will sell it as is.
Car comes with some documentation.
This will make a great looking driver and is for the person who enjoys working with older cars. Car is in Kentucky and is available for viewing by appointment only.
