The 1939 Chevrolet Standard Pickup truck was produced during an American era that was built by hardworking people who drove hardworking trucks. The 39 Chevy truck is one of Chevrolet's iconic pre-war designs. It was introduced right before the United States entered World War II.
The truck's rounded fenders and upright grille gave it a distictive look, not to mention its rugged dependability. This 1939 Standard truck model helped to establish Chevrolet as a leader in the light duty truck market.
Today these are still admired for their timeless styling. It is becoming difficult to find these trucks in desirable condition. Many did not survive. Most were used as work vehicles, and they worked hard on farms, construction sites, and businesses. Many were scrapped during or after the war.
This 1939 Standard pickup stands tall and looks great. The exterior is all steel and the body is straight. The red paint is excellent. New is the grille, front bumper, exhaust system, and the tires are brand new.
The engine is a 327 CID and is paired with a rebuilt 700 R4 automatic overdrive transmission, floor shifter. It has less than 500 miles on the trans rebuild. Engine runs great and does not leak oil. Features include power steering, power brakes, cold AC, and heat.
Interior is a gray bucket seat interior with a black dash and black steering wheel. All gauges are modern and new. The herringbone carpet adds a nice touch.
Truck runs and drives very well, and you will turn heads wherever you go! It is nice enough to take to cruise ins and local shows.
This truck is in North Carolina and is available for viewing by appointment only.
